For more than four decades, Tecla dedicated her life to caring for animals, including over 14 years as a cherished member of the Oakbank Animal Hospital family.
Tecla was one of a kind. Strong, fiercely loyal, and never afraid to speak her mind, she had a remarkable way of making an impression on everyone she met. Beneath her tough exterior was a heart of gold, one that cared deeply for our patients, clients, and the people fortunate enough to call her a friend and coworker.
Her knowledge, dedication, and unwavering commitment to veterinary medicine helped shape our hospital in countless ways. Whether she was caring for a patient, mentoring a teammate, keeping everything organized behind the scenes, or greeting one of the many kittens that came through our doors, Tecla approached everything with pride, compassion, and authenticity.
Outside of the hospital, Tecla found joy in caring for her yard and sharing her passion for horses as an Equestrian Canada Competition Coach Specialist, mentoring riders both locally and across North America.
Tecla's legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the friendships she built, and the countless animals she helped throughout her career. She will forever remain a beloved member of the Oakbank Animal Hospital family, and her place on our team page serves as a lasting reminder of the incredible person she was and the lasting impact she made.
