Madilyn grew up in the Interlake region of Manitoba and attended the University of Winnipeg, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Classics.
Prior to beginning her veterinary studies, she volunteered at Oakbank Animal Hospital and continued to return throughout her education at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She is excited to join the Oakbank team and looks forward to providing compassionate, high-quality care to animals and their owners.
Her professional interests lie in mixed animal medicine, with particular focuses on small and large animal preventative medicine, apiary management, and dairy medicine. During her training, she volunteered with Veterinarians Without Borders in Kenya, assisting with the sustainable development of dairy farming practices. In the summer of 2025, she completed the Cornell Summer Dairy Institute to further expand her knowledge in dairy medicine and production.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors through hiking, camping, and fishing. She also enjoys trying new recipes, completing puzzles, and spending time with her two cats—one of whom she adopted during a summer spent at Oakbank Animal Hospital.
