Oakbank Bird’s Hill Animal Hospital is a 4-doctor animal hospital located 15 minutes outside of Winnipeg in the town of Oakbank, MB. We are a companion animal practice, 95% small animal and 5% equine. Our hospital has an excellent support staff and is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment, including digital radiography, Vetscan, iStat, ECG and ultrasound. We are located in a bright, new, standalone, 4,800 sq. ft. and purpose-built facility. The hospital is conveniently situated along Oakbank’s Main Street, close to shops, schools and restaurants.
Outside the hustle and bustle of the hospital, our team takes advantage of the calming energy of our rural setting. Oakbank is surrounded with beautiful natural landscapes and scenic attractions that include the Birds Hill Provincial Park, Kingfisher Lake and Pine Point Rapids. Simply driving down our country roads and enjoying the views of lush farmlands, is a guaranteed way to melt away any level of stress.

Due to the increasing number of Covid cases in Manitoba, we have updated our protocols to ensure the safety of our staff, clients, and community effective immediately.
1. WE CAN NOW SEE ALL CASES BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
This includes vaccines, wellness exams, blood work, heartworm testing, spays and neuters, dental services, and more!
2. SAFETY MEASURES TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE
Clients are no longer able to enter the exam room with their pets for their appointments. We ask that clients wait in the waiting room while the doctor and their assistant perform the exam in the designated exam room. After the appointment, the doctor will come out and talk to the client in the waiting area.
A maximum of 3 clients will be allowed in the waiting area.
Continue the use of credit cards as the preferred payment method. Debit will be accepted if needed.
Continue with curbside pickup of food and medication (unless you have used our online store and are having your order delivered directly to your home). To place an order through our online store, visit our website and click on "Online Store".
3. ONLINE CONSULTATIONS ARE AVAILABLE

We are OPEN with the following hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm - Saturday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm - Sunday: CLOSED
Note: After-hour emergency services are available for regular equine patients only. All other patients with after-hours emergencies, please contact Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Centre at (204) 452-0911.
