Dog Skin Care

At Oakbank Animal Hospital, we regularly see dogs with a wide variety of skin conditions due to allergies, parasites, poor nutrition, metabolic disorders or skin infections. Certain skin conditions can be painful for our pets causing them to lick and scratch the affected areas raw. These chronic conditions can be extremely difficult for dog owners and can greatly affect your dog’s quality of life. Your veterinarian will work with you and your pet in an attempt to diagnose, treat and manage your dog’s skin disease.

We also host a board-certified veterinary dermatologist/skin specialist 3-4 times a year to help with difficult and uncontrolled skin conditions and allergies. If you require a consultation with him, please have your regular veterinarian send a referral form or give us a call for more information at 204.444.3615.
